General Specifications:
Wing-Tips™ are tunable venturi-deflectors...powerful, adjustable,
sleek and easy to install. The no-holes peel-n-stick tape-mounting
is a snap even for those mechanically challenged. After a short
cure period (most allow the tape to cure overnight for good measure)
tuning Wing-Tips™ for the best deflection and venturi boost is
a reach and twist operation...couldn't be any easier since no
tools are needed. There is no one-angle-fits-all design when it
comes to air management and by allowing riders to extend or contract
their flight envelope and thus improve their comfort zone, Wing-Tips™
provide a quantum leap in capsule control performance for both
rider and passenger.
The Wing-Tip™ contoured Lexan(r) shield come in clear and tint.
Importantly this shield is distortion free and has no turbulence
generating triple axis swoops. All Wing-Tips are 16cm tall. The
standard wing measures 40/35cm wide surface and tip-to-tip direct
respectively and weighs 226/8 grams/oz. The large Wing-Tip™ is
46.5/39 cm surface and tip-to-tip width and weighs 256/9 grams/oz.
There is 50° forward and 20° rearward pitch, plus a 70 degree
starboard-to-port pitch adjustment. Mount versatility makes each
system adaptable from sport to touring shields and virtually anything
in between. This adaptability gives Wing-Tips™ a lasting value
since you may choose to remount them on your next bike (remount
kits are available from Saeng/ta by phone). High-tolerance components
come assembled ready for peel-and-stick application.
The aluminum parts are machined from aircraft alloys then anodized
for durability. Similar to aerospace components, internal cavities
are machined into each part to reduces weight and increases strength
. Machining internal cavities is expensive but it is the only
way to achieve such an outstanding weight to strength ratio.

Engineering grade plastics are UV, oil and solvent resistant…close
to indestructible. The injection molded ball-socket Component-Platform
is Dupont Zytel 801st. The material is one of the worlds leading
engineering grade plastics. Its extremely high izod-notch index
means even if the part is nicked, a crack is very unlikely to
develop. The Component-Platform uses a unique interlocking design
and two Plastite stainless screws to provide a controlled degree
of sticktion hold. This sticktion fit can be varied from light
to a fully locked setting. The ball-socket assembly is covered
by a flexible boot. The boot provides a dust and weather barrier
insuring smooth operation of the enclosed linkage. Besides obvious
practical benefits, the boot gives the Linkage a finished military
look.
The mount bases and low-drag cap assemblies are molded from Santoprene
103-5. This material is stable and contours excellently to the
shape of the matting shield. The base mounting surface are chemically
enhanced before a high bond 3-M micro cell foam tape is applied
at the factory. The base's wrap-around design ensures that the
Wing-Tip™ has back-up mounting surface should the unlikely failure
of the primary tape surface ever occur.
In summery: Wing-Tips™ meet the requirements for many aerospace
applications and exceed the standards of even the most demanding
consumer. Note: Wing-Tips are not intended for use on near vertical
shields.
